Fishing & Hunting

All public land in the forest and the monument is open to hunting and fishing. The Kings, Kern, and Tule rivers offer excellent trout fishing opportunities, as do many of the smaller streams. Lake Isabella has bass fishing tournaments each year. Know and follow California fish and game regulations, and be mindful of special restrictions on sections of the Kings and Kern rivers.
