Hume Lake
Hume Lake, in the northern portion of the monument, is a favorite, year-round recreation destination where visitors enjoy fishing, non-motorized boating, hiking, mountain biking, and camping during the summer months and snow play during the winter. An interpretive trail follows the shoreline of the lake. This 87-acre lake, originally a millpond for an historic logging operation, is formed by a unique, historic concrete multiple arch dam, constructed in 1908.
